Terms
Clear expectations for The Forge, Forge Tools, and The Foundry.
Effective August 26, 2026. By using the website or a Forge Tool, applying to The Foundry, or purchasing an offering, you agree to the terms that apply to that activity.
The agreement
Who these terms apply to.
These terms are between you and Redline Livestock, operating The Forge by Redline, RR2, Didsbury, Alberta T0M 0W0, Canada. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. If you act for a farm, company, or partnership, you confirm that you have authority to bind it. Additional written terms shown for a specific tool or offering also apply; if they conflict, the more specific terms govern.
Educational purpose
Information and tools, not individualized professional advice.
The Forge provides farm-business education, facilitated discussion, worksheets, calculators, and organizational tools. It does not provide legal, accounting, tax, investment, financial, insurance, veterinary, medical, or other regulated professional advice. Examples and calculations depend on the information and assumptions supplied. You remain responsible for reviewing outputs, deciding what fits your operation, and obtaining qualified professional advice.
The Foundry
An ongoing program with a 12-month participant term.
The Foundry is an ongoing guided farm business program. Each enrolment covers a 12-month term beginning with the participant’s stated cohort date and includes the sessions, resources, community spaces, and participant-only Forge Tools described at purchase. The program’s core categories provide continuity, while specific topics, facilitators, experts, and delivery details may evolve to keep the work useful and current. We will not materially reduce the overall program without an appropriate remedy. The Foundry does not renew automatically unless you later give express agreement to a clearly disclosed re-enrolment offer.
Purchases and contract details
Know the full price and terms before paying.
Before payment, checkout will display the legal supplier, business contact information, program or tool description, start and end dates where applicable, price and currency, taxes, payment timing, cancellation and refund terms, and any other material restrictions. You authorize the stated charges and must provide accurate billing information. A copy of the completed online agreement or receipt will be provided electronically. Statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be waived continue to apply.
Foundry enrolment
Refunds and Cancellations
Foundry enrolment is a commitment to the program, and payments are non-refundable. We understand that exceptional circumstances can arise. If you are unable to participate due to a significant and unexpected circumstance, please contact us. Requests will be considered individually, and any refund, credit, or transfer offered will be at the discretion of The Forge. Missed sessions, scheduling conflicts, failure to participate, or a change of mind do not qualify for a refund. Separately purchased Forge Tools follow the refund terms provided at the time of purchase.
Access at the end of the term
Program access ends; appropriate Farm File materials remain yours.
Foundry-only community access, recordings, live online resources, and participant-only Forge Tools end on the stated program end date unless the offer expressly provides a grace period. Materials properly downloaded or saved to your own Foundry Farm File may be kept for your internal farm use. Ending a Foundry term does not remove access to a Forge Tool that you purchased separately under its own terms, and it does not authorize us to delete files stored in your own Google Drive.
Accounts and data
Keep access secure and retain your own important records.
You are responsible for providing a working email address, protecting access links and devices, and notifying us of suspected unauthorized use. Tool synchronization is intended to improve continuity across devices, but you should export or retain independent copies of information that is important to your operation. We may limit or suspend access reasonably to protect accounts, investigate misuse, comply with law, or address security threats.
Participant conduct
Respect the room and the people in it.
Participants must communicate respectfully, avoid harassment and discrimination, protect login and meeting links, and refrain from recording, scraping, disrupting, or commercially exploiting the program. Participants are expected to treat personal and business information shared by others as confidential. Because The Foundry includes group discussion and third-party platforms, we cannot guarantee that another participant will keep information confidential; share accordingly.
Recordings and contributions
Consent will be clear before recording.
We will identify sessions that are recorded and explain how recordings will be used and who may access them. Do not record a session yourself without written permission. You retain ownership of your pre-existing materials and farm information. If you voluntarily contribute comments, questions, or examples, you give us permission to use them only as reasonably needed to deliver the program; public testimonials, promotional use, or identifying case studies require separate permission.
Intellectual property
Personal farm use, not redistribution.
The Forge and its licensors own the website, program materials, recordings, branding, software, and Forge Tools, excluding your information and third-party content. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use purchased or included materials for your own farm or internal business purposes during the applicable access period. You may not resell, publish, share account access, reproduce substantial portions, reverse engineer, or use the materials to create a competing product without written permission.
Availability and third parties
Services can change or occasionally be interrupted.
We use third-party services for hosting, authentication, email, payments, community, and file storage. Their availability and separate terms may affect the service. We may make reasonable maintenance, security, compatibility, or product changes. We do not promise uninterrupted access, permanent availability of any free tool, or that every feature will work on every device, but we will use reasonable efforts to provide purchased services as described.
No guaranteed result
Better process does not guarantee a business outcome.
Farming and business decisions involve weather, markets, people, financing, regulation, and other factors outside our control. We do not guarantee profit, savings, financing, regulatory compliance, risk elimination, or any particular operational result. To the extent permitted by law, services are provided without implied warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded.
Responsibility and liability
A fair allocation of risk.
You are responsible for decisions made using the services and for confirming important calculations and professional requirements. To the extent permitted by law, The Forge is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from the services. Any aggregate liability relating to a paid offering will not exceed the amount you paid for that offering during the 12 months before the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.
Suspension and termination
Access may end for serious or repeated breach.
We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, material breach, abusive conduct, unlawful activity, security risk, or misuse of intellectual property, normally after reasonable notice and an opportunity to correct the issue where appropriate. Immediate action may be taken for safety, harassment, fraud, or serious security concerns. Termination for your breach does not create a refund unless required by law.
Privacy, changes, and law
Alberta law, with mandatory rights preserved.
Our Privacy page explains how personal information is handled. We may update terms prospectively for free services or future purchases, but will not materially change an existing paid term without notice and any consent required by law. These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Courts in Alberta have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer right to bring a claim elsewhere. If one term is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue.
