Privacy
Your information should be handled with the same care as your operation.
Effective September 9, 2026. This notice explains how The Forge by Redline collects, uses, shares, protects, and retains personal information across this website, Forge Tools, and The Foundry.
Scope and accountability
Who is responsible for your information.
The Forge by Redline (“The Forge,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is responsible for personal information under its control. This notice applies to website visitors, applicants, participants, tool users, purchasers, and people who contact us. The service is operated by Redline Livestock, RR2, Didsbury, Alberta T0M 0W0, Canada. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to admin@theforgebyredline.com.
Information we collect
Information needed to deliver the service.
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, mailing or billing details, application answers, farm and operation information you choose to provide, participant profile information, support messages, marketing-consent choices, acquisition source, account and authentication records, tool inputs and saved calculations, transaction identifiers and payment status, and basic device, security, and usage information. Payment-card details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by The Forge.
How we use it
Specific purposes, not open-ended permission.
We use personal information to provide requested access; authenticate accounts; review applications; communicate about enrolment; deliver The Foundry and Forge Tools; save and synchronize tool records; process and document purchases; provide support; secure and improve our services; meet accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, and legal obligations; and send optional Forge emails only where consent has been given. We do not sell personal information.
Consent and choices
Tool access and marketing are separate.
An email address requested to send or secure a Forge Tool is used for that access purpose. Occasional Forge tools, insights, and promotional emails require a separate positive opt-in that is unchecked by default. You may withdraw marketing consent at any time without losing otherwise valid tool or program access. We may also collect, use, or disclose information without consent where permitted or required by law.
Service providers
Limited sharing to operate The Forge.
We may use service providers such as Vercel for website hosting, Supabase for accounts and synchronized tool records, Stripe for payments, Resend or another approved provider for service email, Google for participant-owned Farm Files and operational records, and Circle for program community and delivery. Providers may process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction. We require providers to use information only for the contracted service and apply appropriate safeguards.
Retention
Kept only as long as reasonably needed.
Unless a longer period is required by law, incomplete or unsuccessful applications are normally retained for 12 months; participant and support records for the program term plus 24 months; synchronized Forge Tool records while the account is active and ordinarily deleted from active systems within 30 days after a verified deletion request; and transaction, tax, and accounting records for seven years. Backup copies and security logs may remain for a limited additional period until they are overwritten. A minimal suppression record may be retained to honour an unsubscribe request.
Protection and incidents
Practical safeguards around personal information.
We use access controls, passwordless authentication, encrypted network connections, provider security controls, row-level database restrictions, backups where appropriate, and limited staff access. No online system is risk-free. If a privacy breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will investigate, contain it, keep required records, and notify affected people and regulators as required.
Your rights
Access, correction, export, deletion, and withdrawal.
You may ask whether we hold your personal information and request access to or correction of it, subject to lawful exceptions. You may also request an export or deletion of synchronized tool data, withdraw consent, or complain about our handling of information. We will verify identity before acting on a request and respond within the period required by applicable law. Some records may be retained where required for legal, accounting, security, or dispute purposes.
Cookies and analytics
Essential functions first.
The site and tools may use browser storage and essential cookies for authentication, security, preferences, offline saving and synchronization. We use Vercel Web Analytics for cookie-free, aggregate traffic measurement. We also use Google Analytics 4 only after you choose to allow optional analytics cookies. Google Analytics may then set first-party analytics cookies to help us understand pages, traffic sources, devices and general usage across the main website and Forge Tools. Advertising storage, Google signals and ad-personalization signals are disabled. Query strings and URL fragments are removed from analytics page locations, private participant-intake and account-management routes are excluded, and we do not send application answers, email addresses, payment details, account records or Forge Tool inputs to either analytics service. You may decline Google Analytics or reopen Analytics choices in the footer at any time without losing access to the site or tools.
