LOOK AT WHAT’S IN PLACE
We take the month’s topic back to our own operations and look at what we already have in place, what’s missing and where we could be better prepared.
The cash-flow projection you meant to update. The insurance you haven’t looked at in years. The transition conversation that still needs to happen. The numbers you should probably know. The information that still only lives in one person’s head.
You know these things matter.
But the cattle, the crop, the breakdown, the payroll and whatever needs dealing with today keep making it to the top of the list first.
It’s not that we don’t care about this stuff.
We just rarely make room for it.
We always make sure the calf gets treated, the equipment gets fixed, and the crop comes off. Payroll always gets made.
Getting a firm handle on our cash flow. Reviewing our insurance. Having the transition conversations. Getting important information out of one person’s head.
Those things can wait.
So they wait...
And they don’t become urgent until something makes them urgent.
“There are things I know we need to deal with.”
“I don’t know what I’m missing.”
“Too much of this depends on me.”
“I’m involved in this farm, but I don’t understand all of it.”
“I wonder how other operations are handling this.”
“Cash is getting tight.”
“Who do you even talk to about this stuff?”
“I don’t want my family scrambling if something happens.”
“We’ve built a lot, but the business side hasn’t necessarily kept up.”
“I’m tired of figuring everything out the hard way.”
Finding them before they become urgent gives you more options.
We spend a lot of time thinking about cattle, crops, equipment, land and production.
But our industry has come to demand just as much focus on another side.
The numbers. The debt. The cash flow. The people. The agreements. The insurance. The information. The decisions about what comes next.
You don’t have to do it differently.
But you should know why you’re doing it that way.
But wondering what we’ve missed doesn’t have to be one of them.
Seeing the cash squeeze coming before you’re lying awake worrying about it.
Knowing the information someone else would need is actually there.
Understanding the numbers well enough to follow the conversation — and ask better questions.
Having the hard conversation before circumstances force it.
Knowing who to call when the answer is outside your wheelhouse.
Making the big decision knowing you’ve looked at more than the best-case scenario.
We don’t know exactly what’s coming.
But we can do more to limit how exposed we are when it does.
You know what your cash position looks like — and where the tight months are.
You’ve looked at what happens to the payment if interest rates change.
You know what your insurance actually covers, instead of assuming.
The transition conversation has moved beyond “we really need to talk about that.”
Important farm information isn’t sitting in one person’s head anymore.
You’ve looked at what happens if the person who normally handles something suddenly can’t.
And when a big decision comes up, you have a better handle on the numbers, the downside and the questions worth asking.
We’re building the kind of room we want to be in.
A room full of cattle operators who know things we don’t, have been through things we haven’t, and run operations that aren’t exactly like ours.
In The Foundry, we’ll have the business conversations that rarely happen in the everyday running of a farm — and we’ll make sure they’re worth showing up for.
The numbers. The decisions. The risks. The people. Mental health. Personal growth. The things that are changing in our industry. The things we’re trying to figure out on our own farms.
We’ll bring in people who know more than we do each and every month. We’ll ask good questions. Compare notes. Hear how other operations are handling it. And do some real work on our own.
Our job is to build a room worth coming back to.
There’s a lot we can build on.
We’ll run numbers we haven’t run before. Find gaps we didn’t know were there. Have conversations we’ve been putting off. Put better systems in place. Hear approaches we may not have considered. And look at parts of our businesses we may not have given enough attention to before.
Some months, the change might be small.
Other months, we might tackle something that changes the way you run your operation for years to come.
And piece by piece, we’ll build a stronger business behind the farm.
The Foundry is for people carrying real responsibility inside established cattle operations who want to better understand the business they’re building — the numbers, the moving parts, the risks and the decisions that shape what comes next.
You might be the person making most of the calls.
The person handling the books and keeping everything moving behind the scenes.
The next generation taking on more responsibility.
Or the person sitting at the table thinking, I need to understand more of this.
You don’t need a certain number of cows or acres.
You don’t need to farm like we do.
You don’t need every number organized before you walk in.
And you definitely don’t need to know everything.
You just need to care about understanding your operation better.
You don’t have to know where to start. We’ve got you.
We haven’t run ten cohorts before this one. There aren’t years of Foundry testimonials for us to show you.
That’s the truth.
What we do have is a lot of years running our own farm — making big decisions, getting some right, learning from the ones we didn’t, and working through many of the same things we’ll talk about inside The Foundry.
We’ll do the work. We’ll find the right people. We’ll ask the questions. We’ll keep listening to what this room needs. And we’ll keep making it better as we go.
If you’re willing to take a chance on the first Foundry, we’re going to make it worth it.
Because the whole point isn’t just to build a stronger operation.
It’s to become a more capable person inside it.
See what we’ll work on, how the Coffees work, and what a year inside The Foundry actually looks like.
SEE HOW THE FOUNDRY WORKS →Each month, we take one important part of the operation and look at it closely.
We learn the moving parts, examine what’s in place on our own farms, find the gaps and bring in an expert to help us ask better questions.
Then we put what we’ve learned to work.
Over the year, that work adds up.
We take the month’s topic back to our own operations and look at what we already have in place, what’s missing and where we could be better prepared.
We learn the moving parts, compare notes and bring in a guest expert who knows the topic well. We can ask direct questions and figure out what actually applies to our own farms.
Then we do something with it. Run the numbers. Organize the information. Document a process. Put a new system in place. Make the call. Have the conversation.
The point is to finish the month with something further ahead than when we started.
THE FOUNDRY HAPPENS ONLINE, SO YOU CAN JOIN US RIGHT FROM HOME. NO TRAVEL. JUST GRAB A COFFEE AND PULL UP A CHAIR.
We bring the month’s topic to the table, break down the moving parts and start looking at how it applies to our own operations.
We bring in a guest expert who knows the topic well. We ask direct questions, compare notes and dig further into what we’re seeing on our own farms.
Look at our own numbers. Find what’s missing. Talk it through with the people involved. Come back with better questions.
Then we put what we’ve learned to work.
The work we do each month has somewhere to go.
We’ll build your Farm File — one organized, live place for the important information on your operation.
Access it from your phone or computer, and share it with the people on your farm who need it.
Each month, we add to it: numbers, documents, contacts, processes, calculations and plans.
By the end of the year, you’ve built a Farm File your operation can actually use — and a system you can keep adding to.
We know how we do things on our own farms.
But we don’t always know how other good operators are doing them.
That’s a big part of The Foundry.
We get to compare notes. Hear what’s working somewhere else. Talk about what didn’t. Ask questions. And sometimes hear an idea or a question we hadn’t thought of before.
Different farms will do things differently. That’s part of the value.
Sometimes someone else in the room has already worked through what you’re dealing with. Sometimes they’re working through it right alongside you.
And the conversation doesn’t end when the coffee does.
Between coffees, the room stays open. Ask a question. Share something you’re working through. Get another perspective when you need it.
You don’t have to share private numbers or family details to be part of the conversation.
The Foundry is ongoing, and the topics aren’t fixed.
We’ll work on the parts of the farm business that carry weight, with specific topics that can change as agriculture — and the needs of the room — change.
No. That’s part of why we’re here.
You don’t need perfect records, organized files or every number at your fingertips. We’ll work through that as we go.
No. Sometimes figuring out which numbers we should know — and where to find them — will be part of the work.
Some months, not much at all.
There might be a calculation to run, some information to find or something you want to put in place. More than anything, we want you thinking about the topic on your own farm and noticing what questions come up.
Like most things, the more you put into The Foundry, the more you’ll get out of it.
The sessions will be recorded, so you can catch up when it works for you.
And the Foundry community stays open between coffees. You can still ask questions, join the conversation and keep up with what’s happening.
No.
You can listen. You can ask questions. You can share what you’re comfortable sharing.
But we do think there is value in being part of the conversation. The more people are willing to compare notes and share what they’ve learned, the better the room becomes for everyone.
No.
You decide what you’re comfortable sharing. You can work through your own numbers and circumstances without putting them in front of the room.
No.
We’ll show you some practical ways we use it and help you get started. If AI isn’t your thing, that’s fine too.
No.
Part of what we’re trying to do is help you understand enough to ask better questions and have better conversations with the professionals you already work with.
When you need advice specific to your operation, you should still talk to your own accountant, lawyer, lender, insurance professional or other advisor.
It’s yours.
It lives in your own Google Drive. Everything you put into it stays with you, and you can keep adding to it long after your Foundry year is over.
The Foundry is where we work on the business behind the farm.
Sometimes, though, you get the feeling that you’re ready for more.
It isn’t that what you’re doing isn’t enough. Or that you need to leave it behind.
You just know there are things you want to get better at. Ideas you want to build. More responsibility you’re ready to take on. And maybe a bigger impact you want to have on your operation and the people around you.
For a small number of people who want to take that further, The Build includes full access to The Foundry, plus two private meetings with Becky every month.
We’ll work together in four areas:
Build the brand behind your operation. On your own terms.
Be someone the farm can depend on.
Better yourself. Work on the hard stuff.
From the ground up.
What we work on will depend on you — where you’re at, what you’re responsible for, what you want to get better at, and what you want to build.

Access to recordings from Foundry coffees for the duration of your enrollment.
The people in The Foundry are part of the value. Compare notes, hear how other good operators are approaching things, ask questions and be part of conversations you may not be having anywhere else.
A NOTE BEFORE ENROLLING
You don't need perfect records or every number figured out before you join. That's part of the work we'll do together.
What we do ask is that you come ready to participate. Make the coffees when you can, do some work on your own operation between meetings, and take what we're working on back to your farm.
You never have to share information about your operation that you aren't comfortable sharing.
The Foundry is a 12-month commitment. Like most things, the more you put into it, the more you'll get out of it.

No. Choosing monthly payments does not make The Foundry a month-to-month program.

Yes. The Foundry is entirely online, so you can join from home wherever you are.
We'll talk about re-enrollment during your Foundry year. There's no automatic renewal.
Founding Cohort participants who remain continuously enrolled will keep their Founding Cohort rate, even if the regular Foundry investment increases.
It's yours. Your Foundry Farm File lives in your own account, and everything you've built there stays with you.
Access to the Foundry community, recordings and participant-only Forge Tools is available for the duration of your active Foundry enrollment.
Enrollment is a 12-month commitment. Refund requests may be considered individually in exceptional circumstances.
Not for the Founding Cohort. The next planned Foundry intake is April 2027.

There are a lot of things I’ve had to learn by doing them at Redline. In The Build, I’ll share what we’ve learned, the systems we’ve built, and the processes we actually use; and help you apply what makes sense to your own operation.
Build a marketing strategy and budget, then turn it into a social media plan you can actually keep up with.
Get ahead of the office work by figuring out what needs your attention, what can be systemized, and how to keep it from piling back up.
If you're building a bull sale, use the timelines, checklists and processes we've developed over the years, from catalogues and marketing to customer communication and sale week.
Set up bookkeeping and herd-management systems that fit the way your operation actually works.
Get more of the farm out of people's heads and into an accessible format, so important information isn't dependent on one person knowing where everything is.
The work will be practical, specific to your operation, and built around the four areas of The Build: Brand & Marketing, Leadership, Personal Development and Building.
